Dear You

Recently I was reading Psalm 139:14 where it says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

I’ve read a lot about this verse. Different scholars say different things.

But in and through it all are a few firm facts of modern life:

That sometimes you need to acknowledge the dark difficulty of the world. And that sometimes the ugliness of that world latches on to your soul and sinks in a few claws.

Because of that, everyone needs help rising above the grime by being reminded of a truer truth—a piece of Real that is un-threatened by the clawing paws of a bruised and bruising world.

Everyone needs to be reminded that they are beautiful to someone.

So today, know this:

You are beautiful to God.
