Check this out:
–“And God said, ‘Let there be light’…” (Genesis 1:3)
–“The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country…” (Genesis 12:1)
–“God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” (Exodus 3:4)
–“Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm…” (Job 38:1)
–“Then [Isaiah] heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?…” (Isaiah 6:8)
–“[Jesus] got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” (Mark 4:39)
Guess what? When you pray you are talking with THAT SAME GOD!
When you pray you have the remarkable privilege of talking with the same God who created light… who called Abram to a new land and to bless the peoples of the earth… who summoned Moses at the burning bush to free his people from slavery… who spoke with Job… who called Isaiah to prophecy… and who stilled the storm!
When you pray, THAT is who you are talking to. And he loves you so much he’s willing to listen, and act!
Prayer is a remarkable privilege—not a problem. It’s something we GET to do, not that we HAVE to do.
Sometimes we just need the reminder.
