Be what you wanna see.
This statement encourages us to model the attitudes and behaviours that we’d like to see in others.
Let’s think about this in terms of how it applies to our current situation with COVID-19. What do we want to see? I don’t know about you but I want to see faithfulness, calm, wisdom and love. Wouldn’t that be great?
Faith instead of fear.
Calm instead of panic.
Wisdom instead of foolishness.
Love instead of apathy.
In Matthew 5:14 and 16, Jesus says this to his followers: “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Now would be a pretty good time for that.
Faith, calm, wisdom and love radiate outward to beat back the darkness that threatens to expand its real estate.
Be what you wanna see.
