Many of us are worshipping God at home these days while sitting on a couch or a chair. Some churches have resumed limited in-person gatherings, but not all. [For those of you in America, you’re a bit further along than we are north of the border.]
Either way, our external posture shouldn’t dictate our internal posture.
Here’s a helpful word from Hebrews 12:28-29: “since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.’”
With reverence and awe.
Writer and evangelist Oswald Chambers said: “The people who are flippant and disrespectful in their approach to God are those who have never been introduced to Jesus Christ.”
Of all the things Jesus inspires, one of them is most certainly reverence!
You may be sitting on a couch, but make sure your heart and mind are seated before our awesome God in the divine throne room! Look around you at where you physically are, and then remember yourself where you truly are!
Wherever we are when we worship, let’s do so with reverence and awe.

Indeed! To worship the Lord our Savior is to think higher of His majesty. So glad I found your faith blog. Enjoy your weekend. Blessings to you. ~Torrie
