This is a word to the weary. Or to those who are battle-worn, either a little or a lot:

When Jesus is your path, your destination is always victory.

We are called to a certain way of life. We could also call it a path, or a road. It’s not a physical road, but a spiritual one. In Acts 24:14, Paul said: “I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way…” I’m personally so compelled by the fact that our faith isn’t just a set of mental beliefs. Nor is it confined to a destination.

However, we can be assured that in Christ, a destination will always be reached—and that destination is victory.

The path may seem foggy at times. You might hurt—physically or invisibly. You might feel like you’re falling behind your hopes and that you’re too tired or deflated to catch up.

But things are not always as they seem… 

-“We live by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). 
-“he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
-God “gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

In this life you may get pushed around, made fun of, overlooked, or hated. But this life isn’t all there is; it’s only the beginning.

Stay on the path. Live by faith, not by sight. Trust God and his word. The outcome will be good because God can’t lose.
