Have you ever heard someone say that something gives them “the feels”?

It means that something has given then a really really good feeling. Maybe it’s an emotional song, receiving a heart-felt compliment, or a soul-satisfying conversation with a best friend.

Today I’m here to notify you about the feel of all feels. Here it is: It makes you feel good to do good.

When we go out of our way to help and serve others it helps them, and it can also be an expression of our devotion to God. But it also makes you feel good.

It’s almost as if God has designed us to know when we are living according to his design. Oh, what a second, that’s exactly how it is! In Ephesians 2:10 Paul writes: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…”

How did you feel the last time you helped someone in a meaningful way?

Exactly.

We were created by God, for God, and to do God’s good work. 

It makes you feel good to do good.
