In the previous devotional I highlighted Jesus’ words: “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10, ESV).
I’d like to invite you to do something. It’s kind of heavy. But I think it’s super-important.
Write down on a piece of paper the purpose of your life.
You can write it on a sticky note, you can write it in the front of your Bible, or you can write it somewhere else. It’s up to you. But write it down.
As you prepare to do it, think through what the Bible teaches us about glorifying and knowing God, about being a disciple, about love and about being the hands and feet of Jesus.
The purpose of my life is…
It might take you some time to come up with something. But when you do, write it down.
The simple fact is this. People who know what they are called to do are more likely to do what they are called to do.
