Credit where credit is due

Psalm 115:1 starts like this: “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.”

It’s a prayer for God to get all the glory.

And yet we don’t always glorify God, do we?

Jud Wilhite pastors a church in Las Vegas. He writes, “God rarely gets credit when things are going well, but He often gets blamed when times are tough.”

How true!

Giving God credit for how awesome he is and the amazing things he does is a part of what it means to “glorify” him. We GLORIFY God when we give him credit, boast about him, and celebrate who he is and what he’s done.

So what should you do?

As you interact with other people, remember that one of the ways to glorify God is to give credit to God.

We GLORIFY God when we give him credit, boast about him, and celebrate who he is and what he has done.
