“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26).
Have you ever felt like a failure?
We can feel like we’ve failed when our lives are not what we had wanted them to be, or when we haven’t handled a certain relationship well, or when we’ve made a big mistake and are dealing with ongoing consequences, or when we go online and start comparing ourselves to others, or when we try to follow Jesus and keep missing the mark.
Today I’m here to tell you that with an unfailing God, failure is never final.
Since God is infallible—unable to fail or make mistakes—and since he is all-mighty and all-powerful, and since we belong to him, and since he continues to lovingly call us forward in the footsteps of Jesus, any failure you may have experienced is not the end of the story. He is bigger than your missteps and foibles.
God is not limited by your limitations.
So, have you ever felt like a failure? Me too.
Look up. The good news is that with an unfailing God, failure is never final.
